The throat chakra is located in the throat area. The throat chakra connects ourselves to our expressive self, reinforcing communication, speech, and healing. When off balance, there may be issues of self-expression and fear of no power or control. When in balance, we can express our truth without worrying about what others may think.

The crystals that most positively affect the throat chakra are turquoise, blue agate, lapis lazuli, sodalite, sapphire, blue topaz and aquamarine. Use them in yoga, meditation or just keep them around.
The color that follows the throat chakra is blue, so blue foods such as currants, blackberries, blueberries and wheatgrass will help the throat chakra most.
The best scents for the throat chakra are rosemary, lime, sage, and cedarwood. Load these scents into your essential oil diffuser, or burn them as incense.
A mudra is a hand position, used for meditation. The mudra for the throat is called the dhyana mudra. It requires you to cross your fingers on the inside of hands. Let the thumbs touch at the top and pull slightly up.
Yoga is a fantastic way to help balance your chakras. The poses that best help the throat chakra are supported shoulder stand, plow pose, fish pose and bridge pose.
I’m doing an entire post on reflexology, but basically rubbing, pressing or poking different areas of the body can affect other areas. For the throat chakra, these parts are across the finger bases where the join the hands, and the base of the big toes.
