Essential Oils seem to be all the rage recently, but for good reason. Essential oils are amazing for so many different things. I love using essential oils for a wide variety of things, like helping me sleep, helping me focus and helping my anxiety! I truly believe in their effects for helping little ailments. Today I wanted to share with you my top picks for things that can help you get started with essential oils! Here’s what you’ll need:
The first thing you’ll need is a quality diffuser. The ones below vary based on how much they hold, and whether they light up or not.
The next thing you’ll need is an essential oil starter kit. You could buy all of your oils individually, but that could get expensive. A starter kit is a good way to get a lot of popular oils in a quick and inexpensive way.
My personal favorite way and the easiest way to use essential oils is by diffusing them. That’s why I began with those two things as my ‘essentials’. But, there are some other ways to use essential oils, so here’s what you’ll need for those.
You can use essential oils topically on various points on the body using a roller ball. I’m not going to get into all the different ways you can essential oils topically, that’s for another post. But, to create your own roller ball, you’ll need a carrier oil, such as coconut or jojoba oil, since you shouldn’t put most essential oils directly onto the skin. Then, you’ll just want to mix that with some drops of essential oil, and put it into a roller ball container!
Essential oils can also be used in various different sprays. For most recipes, like mosquito repellent and room spray, you’ll just need a bottle and some water in addition to your oils. For some, you’ll need things like vinegar or vegetable glycerin.
Sometimes an essential oil can really help when being inhaled from an inhaler. The oil is much more concentrated, and it won’t affect anyone around you. I love them for on the go when you really need a focus boost or anxiety relief. To create an inhaler, all you’ll need are these inhalers and your essential oils.
