The heart chakra is located near the heart. It connects us to our emotional self, bringing harmony, forgiveness, sincerity and love. When off balance, it can lead to over-loving, jealousy, abandonment, anger, loneliness and bitterness. When in balance, we feel joy, love, gratitude and compassion.

The crystals that most positively affect the heart chakra are malachite, jade, green tourmaline, emerald, chrysoprase and peridot.
The color that follows the heart chakra is green, so green foods like spinach, kale, lettuce, broccoli, peas, zucchini, celery, green apples, pears, grapes and kiwis are best for the heart chakra.
The best scents for the heart chakra are ylang ylang, rose, jasmine, vetiver, pine and rosewood. Load these scents into your essential oil diffuser, or burn them as incense.
A mudra is a hand position, used for meditation. The mudra for the heart is called the padma mudra. Join the tips of your right hand index finger and thumb and place in front of the lower part of your breast bone.
Yoga is a fantastic way to help balance your chakras. The poses that best help the heart chakra are camel pose, cobra pose, forward bend pose and cat pose.
I’m doing an entire post on reflexology, but basically rubbing, pressing or poking different areas of the body can affect other areas. For the heart chakra, these parts are the lower part of the thumb all the way across the palm, on the left foot on the muscle mass between the base of the second and fourth toes.
